CODAME Featured Artists: CCRMA
The Stanford Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA, pronounced “karma”) is a multi-disciplinary facility where musicians and researchers work together using computer-based technology both as an artistic medium and as a research tool.

Sasha Leitman is a musician, artist, teacher and inventor. She currently runs the “Max Lab – an Interface Prototyping Lab” at Stanford University’s Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) where she has collaborated and co-taught with Jonathan Abel, Trimpin, and the late Max Matthews. She has been making musical instruments, new interfaces for musical expression and sound art installations for ten years.
Fernando Lopez-Lezcano – composer, performer, lecturer & sysadmin at CCRMA, his music blurs the line between technology and art, and is as much about form and sound processing, synthesis and spatialization, as about algorithms and custom software he writes for each piece.
Carr Wilkerson is a System Administrator at CCRMA specializing in Linux and Mac OS systems. He is a controller and software system builder and sometime performer/impresario, instructor and researcher.
Bruno Ruviaro is a San Francisco based electronic musician from São Paulo, Brazil. He will be performing live-electronics in the audio tent of the 5ENSES room. Bruno’s interests range from electronic and acoustic music composition, theater, Linux, SuperCollider, and Erik Satie.
Luke Dahl is a computer musician and PhD student at CCRMA where he conducts research into new musical interactions and music-related movement. He has composed works for the Stanford Laptop and Mobile Phone Orchestras, an interactive piece for live Twitter data, and enjoys making electronic dance music. He will be performing live textural improvisations in the audio room at 5enses.
Colin Sullivan is a recent Master’s student in Music, Science, and Technology at CCRMA where he researched and developed systems for algorithmic music composition, audio synthesis, and collaborative musical applications. He will be performing original electronic music in the audio room at 5ENSES.
