Delta_Ark

Delta_Ark is an experimental atelier concerned with media, computation and life science, broadly defined. The work from 2010-2020 portfolio was thematically focused on political issues of land-use, inequality and sustainability and their rendering into informative literary installations for architectural facades. e.g. “The Beacon” was an intervention for Occupy Wall St., where protesters’ testimonies were remixed into poetry and projected onto a tent wall at an encampment. The 2020-2030 pieces will primarily be focused on interactions between players and agents in VR, MR and cyber-physical systems (like drones). e.g., “Gevurah,” is a VR multiplayer human-swarm interaction simulator, meant to give indications about the promises and perils of artificial intelligence (and intelligence augmentation). The studio usually maintains several ongoing research threads, while also engaging in research-engineering fellowships at select companies. In the past, our work has been supported by Brown, RISD, Eyebeam, Buzzfeed and cypher/cyber/solar/eco punks the world over. (◕‿◕)♡
