Eder Cetina is a Los Angeles muralist, painter, and sculptor. He received his BA from the University of California, Los Angeles. His large murals, installations, and digital projections have exhibited on an international level. In 1997, he was awarded the prestigious Los Angeles Council Arts Fellowship and won the prize of Best in Show. Cetina’s work has been sought after by major museum collections including: Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Notron Simon, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, The Autry, UCLA, Skirball Cultural Center, and the J. Paul Getty Museum-where his work is in the permanent collection. He has been commissioned for large-scale projects from the Ludacris show at the L.A. Coliseum, LACMA, Coachella Music and Arts Festival, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Recently, Eder Cetina was included in the iconic Getty Graffiti Black Book. He also works as a commercial artist using a variety of mediums for Olson Visual, a premier large-scale graphic company. Today, Cetina continues to produce work that represents today’s Los Angeles street art and hip-hop scene.
The LAAC is a collective of emerging artists that represent the intricacy and diversity of the Los Angeles culture. Like the freeways that make the terrain of LA, their concepts are driven from their experiences in the urbanization of the city of angels. Together, their distinct voices echo the diversified communities and multifarious architecture.
Our mission is to create large-scale collaborations blurring the boundaries of artist, community, space, medium, and identity. From live mural painting to video projection mapping, these contrasting artists have one mutual theme: their relationship to this massive city.
