CODAME Featured Artist: ideomux
Bedroom recluse and ghost producer ideomux (aka idmx) is an enigmatic figure within the ever-evolving audible environment. We spoke with ideomux briefly via telephone upon his request stating, “The telephone reduces the entirety of human conversation to the audible dimension. It’s amazing how much of a conversation is in the tempo and color of one’s voice”. He happily answered questions regarding his current work. “I have two interests, the syntax and the semantics of sound. That’s the simplest way I can phrase my work without describing it [laughs]”. Ideomux has released content spanning from left-field avant-experimental, to the limits of popular musical perversions, remixes, reworks, and refixes. “ideomux is a process of novelty-seeking and artificial selection between elements of popular culture and producer culture”
