Michelle Brown is a Brisbane based new media artist focused on virtual and augmented reality and creating storytelling experiences in the digital space. Michelle has produced documentary series for Australian television, created music videos and visuals for a variety of artists and festivals and has exhibited work internationally and around Australia.
As an artist, designer and spatial thinker, their work explores the combined digital and physical space by creating site-specific relationships between virtual media and the environment.
Michelle’s work has been featured at Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, Cannes XR, Toronto New Wave Festival, Github Universe and they have worked with Snapchat, Google, Brisbane Festival, Curiocity plus many more.
Michelle delivers training and mentorship programs and has presented XR workshops for arts practitioners and film-makers, working with Brisbane International Film Festival, State Library of Queensland, the Australian VR Film Festival and more.
