Omar is a graphics programmer working on maps/geospatial tools currently based in Ithaca, NY. He grew up in Alexandria, Egypt and moved to the US for college. He loves creating interactive articles & tutorials, or "explorables", that empower readers to learn about their world. Making flash games on Newgrounds was both his introduction to a software career and his creative outlet growing up.
