Pierluigi is a designer and researcher who has been working at the intersection between industry and institutions creating innovative and engaging interactive products and media pieces.
He chases in his work the convergence of nature and synthetic systems and he is constantly refining his process of including the natural in the technological; this process involves thoughtful stimulation of human senses, inducing suspense and magic using tools like animation, coding, physical computing and photography.
Pierluigi is the developer of Tramontana and libreTSPSWP, open source tools for prototyping environments and interactive objects; these tools are used in different workshops at Strelka Institute in Moscow, the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design.
He is currently part of the design team of NIO, inventing new solutions in the world of transportation. He holds a master degree in Cinema and Media Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and a double degree from the excellence program Alta Scuola Politecnica. He is an alumni of the Interaction design program at CIID.
