Rachel Sowa

Rachel Sowa is a graduate of the College of Creative Studies at UC Santa Barbara, where she studied Computer Science with an emphasis in media arts and music technology. When she isn’t working, she enjoys tinkering around with Arduinos and Max/MSP and exploring how technology can help people interact with music and art in new and creative ways. Some of her projects include a voice synthesizer in Max/MSP controlled by a glove with velostat pressure sensors, a vocoder programmed in Python using linear predictive coding, and an interactive Neopixel light display controlled over the internet via an Arduino Wi-Fi shield. Rachel grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, but she is currently based in Seattle.
