What is the relationship between art + tech + death + life?
A data art installation created by Kristin Henry, produced in collaboration with Reimagine and CODAME, attempts to explore this question. Data Meditations: An Abstract Koi Pond debuts in its first iteration at GitHub in San Francisco over October 25-27, 2019. In the piece, abstract fish represent individuals who have completed a short online questionnaire about their views on death, dying and living.
Reimagine End of Life invites all to explore and respond to their online questions
The questionnaire includes:
- How comfortable are you with acknowledging your impermanence and talking about death?
- How comfortable do you think our society is with acknowledging impermanence and talking about death?
If questionnaire participants agree, their responses are anonymously shared with the Data Meditations art team for the purposes of this art installation. To see and participate in this ever-evolving art work, you can purchase a ticket to CODAME’ ART+TECH Festival at GitHub in San Francisco over the October 25-27, 2019 weekend.
