Transgress is a journey through the notions of perceived body and gender glitches and an evolution of identity in the stages of past, present and future understanding of gender. Through using live sound, cameras and video projections with a series of glitch techniques focused on an androgynous moving body, this performance will explore the chaotic dissociation and experiential discomfort set against the expectations of a binary world based on representations, stereotypes and ideals. The intention is to present the idea of gender as a human extension that provides an abstraction of self, that is fluid and constantly transforming, something seemingly innate, as we expand our understanding, we advance into our own world of digital bodies.
