Nicole Zvarik, Co-founder of Deep Root Dance Collective in 2005, is an independent choreographer and performance artist in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has an MFA in Choreography from Mills College, where she studied with Molissa Fenley, Kathleen McClintock, Sonia Delwaide-Nichols, and Anne Westwick. Originally from the East Coast, Nicole received her Bachelor's degree in Dance and Sociology from Wilson College. She has danced with Chambersburg Ballet Theatre, performed and choreographed for Wilson's Modern Dance Ensemble, including performing for Italia Dance Festival in Cesena, Italy. In the Bay, she has collaborated with a wide variety of interdisciplinary mediums. Nicole has worked with scientists, teachers, musicians, video artists and more including the Intermedia Group, Double Vision and C + JGomula Kruzic. Recently she has acted as Resident Artist for California State University Stanislaus, Wilson College, Pennsylvania and the Garage Theater in San Francisco. Nicole has been professionally presenting dance and performance art since 2003, she is currently producing her own work throughout the Bay Area.
