Inspired by her days crammed inside purikura booths in Japan, her interest and practice are rooted in vernaculars, the 2.5th dimension, the harmony and disharmony of art and technology, as well as the moments when analog and digital worlds collide. EMi operates as a formalistic collector, often gathering digital and physical ephemera and translating them into stories that haven’t been told before.
